Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, photography became an early passion of mine, which was quickly replaced with the mundane and trivial worries of a student-athlete with aspirations of playing football in college. After setting down my camera for almost three years, the end of my sports journey reminded me of my passion to capture life in frames.
After spending some time researching photographer Alfred Stieglitz, I find most of my work to be influenced by one of his sayings: “In photography, there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” I find immeasurable joy in sharing the way that I look at the world and in encouraging people to view the world in a more detailed, slower fashion in hopes of them deriving the same joy that I find when staring at my reality through a viewfinder.
